Director's note
Shoot two things: a clean, finished photograph, then the edit. Print the image, mark it by hand with real marker and scan it, so the pressure, streaks and dry ends survive. Every mark should mean something: cross out the claim, circle the detail, write the blunt correction. Use black plus one or two colours: cobalt blue to blank out, red to strike. No tags, no cartoon doodles, no digital brushes and no scribbling for its own sake.
